About

Our Story

NYN (Nevada Youth Network) was founded in 2013 and incorporated as a 501(c)3 in 2015 (EIN: 46-5026122). The founding board members saw fit to create an organization whose purpose is to foster the growth and independence of young people of color within their communities.
Nevada Youth Network operates a youth center in partnership with the Southern Nevada Housing Authority where we provide homework tutoring and extracurricular activities to the young residents of Sherman Gardens Annex.

Our Community-Based Model is based on the following three principals:

  • Provide educational and recreational support to low-income youth
  • Empower youth and young adults to make informed choices related to their physical, mental and socio-emotional well-being.
  • Increase service and resource capacity of community organizations who directly serve youth.
